Girls Golf Results: Aug. 10
NORTHWOOD AT STATE PREVIEW
NorthWood continued its strong start to the season with a seventh-place finish at the State Preview meet at Prairie View Saturday.
The Lady Panthers carded a 348 to finish nine strokes behind Columbus North. Evansville North fired a 303 to top the prestigious field by 11 strokes. Westfield was second with a 314, and Homestead was third with a 320.
Westfield’s Jocelyn Bruch carded a 3-under 69 for low medalist honors.
Cybil Stillson led Wood with a 79, Breanna Goss shot 86 for second in the lineup. Kirsten Schrock turned in a 90, Delaney Davis put up a 93, and Makenna Gall’s 98 was the team’s fifth score.
The Panthers will play in the Fort Wayne Canterbury Invite at Chestnut Hills on Monday.
WARSAW AT EAST NOBLE INVITE
The Lady Tiger golfers traveled to Noble Hawk Golf Links for the East Noble Invite on Saturday, posting a season-low score of 360, good enough for third place out of 12 teams.
Bishop Dwenger edged out Concord for the team title by a stroke with a 355.
Leading the way for Warsaw was sophomore Delaney Byron with 86, followed by Marie Frazzetta and Grayson Kilburn with dual 89s. Sydney Lancaster completed her team’s score with 96. Brooklyn Fitzgerald shot 100.
Warsaw will play at the Canterbury Invite Monday.
