Whitko School Board Approves Jake Everett As Jr./Sr. High School Principal
SOUTH WHITLEY — During a special board meeting on Thursday, Aug. 8, the Whitko School Board approved the hiring of Jake Everett as the new Whitko Jr./Sr. High School principal.
Everett previously worked at Manchester Community Schools for seven years in a variety of positions, including social studies teacher, basketball coach and digital learning coach. He also was assistant principal at Tippecanoe Valley High School for six weeks until he was offered the principal position at Whitko.
“We are happy that Jake is part of our team and we are glad to have him aboard,” said Superintendent Dr. Brandon Penrod.
Everett said the first day of school for students, Aug. 8, was great.
“There was just a lot of energy and positivity everywhere,” said Everett. “In this position, I really get to interact a lot more with students, so just getting back into that is going to be great. I’m also looking forward to interacting with staff and helping them teach our students and help them grow.”
