Nate Wadley

WINONA LAKE – Grace College’s athletic department selected Nate Wadley as the Lancers’ next strength and conditioning coach.

He is the second strength coach in department history, following Scott Moore who became Grace’s men’s basketball head coach this spring.

“I feel very blessed and fortunate to have the opportunity to be part of Grace College’s athletic department,” Wadley said. “Being trusted with the responsibility of improving both the health and performance of each individual athlete is something I am very excited to take on, and I look forward to developing relationships with the coaching staffs and the student-athletes in the coming months.”

Wadley works locally at Optimum Performance Sports (OPS), serving as the Director of Sports Performance. At OPS he developed and oversaw training and programming for athletes between 7-22 years old.

Wadley graduated from Anderson University in 2016 where he was a four-year member of the men’s soccer team.

He has post-grad experience working in strength and conditioning at four NCAA Division I universities. He was a graduate assistant coach at Ball State for two years where he was directed strength and conditioning efforts for women’s soccer, swimming and diving.

Wadley also served as a volunteer or intern at Notre Dame, Marquette and Western Michigan.

Wadley earned his Strength and Conditioning Coach Certification (SCCC). The SCCC is the gold standard for strength and conditioning coaches. The grueling process includes a 640-hour internship, written exam and practical exam in front of a panel.
