Kid Olympics Returning To Syracuse

SYRACUSE — The Syracuse Parks and Recreation Department will host its annual Kid Olympics on Saturday, Aug. 24 at the Harold Schrock Athletic Complex.
The competition, for children in grades K-5 will begin at 10 a.m., and all participants must be checked in by 9:45 a.m. The fee is $5 per child. Participants can pre-register at the Syracuse Community Center or register on site the day of the competition.
The event is designed to give kids the opportunity to have fun while competing in a variety of different events that involve running, jumping, throwing and kicking. Competition is divided into three age divisions — K-1, 2-3 and 4-5 — and includes a 40-yard dash, a baseball/ softball toss, an obstacle course, football throw, hurdles and a soccer kick. Participants may compete in any or all events of their choosing. Medals will be awarded for boy and girl winners in each division. Grades will be based on the 2019-2020 academic year.
