Carolyn J. Auer
Carolyn J. Auer, 84, Milford, passed away at home surrounded by her family, on Sunday, Aug. 4, 2019. She was born on Feb. 11, 1935, the daughter of Willard and Esther (Gerber) Martin in Kokomo. On June 22, 1956, she married Robert Eugene Auer; he survives.
Other survivors include, four children, Roxana (Michael) Klauka of Holt, Mich.; Robin (Aaron) Rovenstine of Warsaw; Jay (Dawn) Auer of Warsaw; and Jerry (Denise) Auer of Warsaw; 17 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Jeffrey Auer in 2012; two brothers, Max Martin and Fred Martin; along with two grandchildren.
She graduated from Bremen High School in 1953, and was a devoted and awesome stay at home mom for many years. She later worked at Kosciusko Community Hospital in Warsaw and Orn Nursing Home in Milford. She attended the Goshen Christian Church for many years with her husband and always put others before her self, no matter how sick or busy she was. Her devotion to her husband of 63 years is unsurpassed.
She was also a very talented seamstress and made special blankets for all of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She always used her talents to make you feel special. Whether it was baking your favorite dish on your birthday or simply listening, she will always be remembered for the way she loved you unconditionally. She will be deeply missed, but it heaven’s great gain.
A graveside service will be held in Carolyn’s honor at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Milford. Michael Klauka will officiate.
