Karen Miller
Karen S. Miller, 80, formerly of Nappanee, died at 4:35 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 3, 2019, at Paddock Nursing Home in Warsaw.
She was born March 1, 1939, in Kokomo, to Richard and Garnet (Smith) Widup. Karen has lived in this area since 1957. She was a graduate of Milford High School and attended St. Mary’s College at Notre Dame. On Aug. 17, 1962, she married Robert Miller in Milford. He preceded in death Nov. 26, 1993.
Karen loved her family. She had been in nursing home care for 16 years at Lakeland Loving Care in Milford and then Paddock Nursing Home, Warsaw. She always had a good attitude and was happy. She had a wonderful sense of humor. Karen was a homemaker and enjoyed babysitting. She loved Jesus.
Surviving is her sister, Judy West, Milford, and brother, Jack Widup, Copperas Cove, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Kevin Miller; and brother, Stephen Jan Widup.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 17, 2019, at Nappanee Missionary Church Chapel. Family and friends may call for one hour prior to the service. Pastor Jason Rhode will officiate.
