Richard Glenn Greer, 89, Rochester, passed away at 9:50 p.m. Wednesday, July 31, 2019, at Aperiorn Care, Peru.
He was born on April 19, 1930, in Fulton County, the son of Glenn and Letitia L. (Hoffman) Greer. On Feb. 13, 1953, in South Bend, he married Marglee Kindig. She preceded him in death on Feb. 26, 2016.
Greer had been a farmer all his life. Besides farming, he enjoyed being with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and always enjoyed visiting with people.
Survivors include his son: Rick (Sara) Greer, Akron; grandchildren: Melinda (Joe) Gregory, Rochester; Amanda (John) McQueary, Rochester; Mark (Kylie) Greer, Kewanna; Miranda (Matt) Sroufe, Rochester; Christine Cripe, Roann; Mandy Cripe (companion Troy Jenkins) South Whitley); Nich (Jamie) Cripe, North Manchester; nine great-grandchildren; a brother: Ken Greer, Colorado; and a sister, Janeen Stutzen, Michigan.
Funeral services will be conducted at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6, at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester. Friends may call from 4 to 5:30 p.m. that same day at the funeral home. Private burial will take place at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Rochester.
