UPDATE: Construction Worker Was Leaving Job Site When He Was Struck And Killed
SYRACUSE — New details have been released about the fatal road accident Friday in Syracuse involving a construction worker.
The accident happened along Waco Drive, around 2 p.m. Friday, according to the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office.
Ben Fisher, 29, was working as a flagger with a construction crew and was directing traffic on SR 13 near Syracuse shortly before the accident occurred.
Police say he was preparing to leave the job site when he was struck by a pickup and killed.
More information will be issued on Monday.
Fisher ran for mayor earlier this year in the Plymouth Republican primary and lost.
