North Webster
Officers from the North Webster Police Department investigated the following accident:
1:28 a.m. Wednesday, July 24, North CR 950E, North Webster. Driver: Timothy A. Dilley, 56, EMS D18A1 Lane, Syracuse. Dilley told police he was driving his vehicle west on Backwater Road when an animal crossed into his path. He said he drove his vehicle off the road to avoid the animal and that his vehicle came to rest in a yard. Dilley said his ignition key broke during the incident. Damage up to $2,500.
Syracuse
Officers from the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accident:
1:56 a.m. Tuesday, July 23, South Huntington Street, Syracuse. Driver: Patrick H. Eakins, 58, North Woodcrest Drive, Churubusco. Eakins told police he was parked in a grocery store parking lot and that he did not realize there was a large pillar in front of his vehicle before he drove the vehicle into the pillar. Damage up to $2,500.
Warsaw
Officers from the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
3:44 p.m. Tuesday, July 23, US 30 and Anchorage Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Latt A. Babcock, 31, East Hammontree Street, Larwill; Melissa L. Villa, 39, West CR 200N, Warsaw. Babcock told police he was driving his vehicle east on US 30 and that the vehicle driven by Villa stopped in front of him. He said he did not have time to stop in order to avoid a rear-end collision. Damage up to $10,000.
2:17 p.m. Tuesday, July 23, East Center Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Caitlin J. Ryser, 46, Barrington Place, Warsaw; Nora D. Reece, 31, Jean Street, Winona Lake. Ryser told police she was backing her vehicle out of a parking space and backed it into the vehicle driven by Reece that she had not previously seen. Damage up to $5,000.
1:28 p.m. Tuesday, July 23, US 30 and Meijer Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Heinz H. Schmidt, 81, West CR 1275S, Akron; Mark T. Glova, 30, North Edgewood Court, Leesburg. Schmidt told police he was driving his vehicle west on Lake City Highway and believed he had the green light at Meijer Drive. He said he proceeded into the intersection and that his vehicle struck the vehicle driven by Glova, which was turning left in front of him. Glova told police he had the green light while driving on Meijer Drive. Damage up to $2,500.
12:47 p.m. Tuesday, July 23, US 30 and Meijer Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Helene N. Dillinger, 62, Jackson Boulevard, Rochester; Lori A. Stutzman, 56, 15th Road, Bourbon. Dillinger told police she was driving her vehicle east on Lake City Highway and that she was looking at her GPS and did not see the vehicle driven by Stutzman stopped at a red light. Dillinger’s vehicle struck the rear of Stutzman’s vehicle at a high rate of speed. Both drivers complained of pain but refused medical attention. Damage up to $5,000.
