On May 24, an officer with the Warsaw Police Department went to a residence regarding a battery. Upon arrival at the scene, the officer spoke with a woman who said she and McClurg had scheduled a custody exchange for a child. When McClurg arrived at the woman’s residence, she met him at the door and said she would get the child.
According to court documents, McClurg would not allow the woman to close the door to get the child. He then forcefully pushed open the door, entered the residence and began pushing the woman.
