Building Inspector To View Condemned Properties In Silver Lake
SILVER LAKE — Silver Lake Town Marshal Jason McGlennen addressed the issue of abandoned and condemned properties at a brief Silver Lake town council meeting Wednesday, July 10.
The status of condemned houses was brought up at the June council meeting by Council Member Phil Shalley, who suggested council members begin discussions about an ordinance.
Council President Chad Miner responded that he did not feel an additional ordinance was necessary.
“I think we just need to take a look at how we’re using the ones we already have,” Miner stated.
At last night’s meeting, McGlennen said Silver Lake Building Commissioner Danny French will be viewing the properties and hearings will be scheduled for those properties.
