Isletta M. Carwile
Isletta M. Carwile, 94, Kennedale, Texas, formerly of North Webster, passed away at 6:10 a.m. on Sunday, July 7, 2019, at Pecan Manor Nursing Home in Kennedale, Texas. She was born on March 23, 1925, in Summitville, to John Henry and Agnes (Cartwright) Fuller.
She graduated from Swayzee High School and Ball State University in Muncie. She was married on Aug. 10, 1950, in Elkhart, to Robert Wayne “Bob” Carwile who preceded her on Sept. 11, 1991. She was a homemaker and formerly worked as a home economics teacher at Syracuse High School. She also worked for Grant Department Store and K-Mart both in Warsaw. She lived most of her life in the Kosciusko County area until she moved to Texas in 2006.
She was a member of the Church of the Brethren in North Webster. She loved gardening, her beautiful flowers, and spoiling her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter: Janet (Jeff) Gose, Syracuse; son: Richard (Sandi) Carwile, Arlington, Texas; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; six brothers and sisters.
She was preceded by her parents, husband, daughter, Anna Mae Reese, grandson, Joseph Oswald, and three siblings.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Friday, July 12, at Owen Family Funeral Home SR 13 and CR 500N, North Webster. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. on Friday in the funeral home. Burial will take place in the Washington Union Cemetery in Pierceton.
