Warsaw Woman Arrested For Domestic Battery
WARSAW — A Warsaw woman was arrested after allegedly battering a male subject.
Dena De Lion, 43, 615 E. Market St., Warsaw, is being charged with domestic battery with a child under 16 present, a level 6 felony; and domestic battery, a class A misdemeanor.
On Sunday, June 16, an officer with the Warsaw Police Department responded to a domestic battery complaint. When the officer arrived at the scene, he spoke with a male subject. According to court documents, the male said he and a female, later identified as De Lion, were arguing when De Lion began hitting him on the head, chest and shoulder area.
The officer observed a bleeding scratch on the male’s forehead and red marks on his shoulder. De Lion told officers that during an argument with the male, she slapped and scratched the male on the face, shoulder and chest area. De Lion volunteered to take a portable breath test, which resulted in a .146% BAC.
Two children were present in the residence during the incident.
De Lion was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on June 17, with a $1,000 cash bond.
