Gary Dean Saull, 82, Fort Wayne, formerly of Leesburg, passed away at 7:45 p.m. on Sunday, June 30, 2019, at Kingston at Dupont in Fort Wayne. He was born on July 29, 1936, in Upper Sandusky, Ohio to Claire and Nora (Lehman) Saull.
He grew up in Ohio and graduated from Upper Sandusky High School. He was married on Feb. 15, 1958, in Valley City, Ohio, to Ruth Marie Faur who preceded him on Jan. 18, 1979, and then on Jan. 9, 1982, in Warsaw, to Arlene C. (Virge) Manthey who preceded him on Nov. 7, 2018. He retired from Sprint (Century Link) and formerly worked at Northern Electric and United Telephone Companies. He lived in the Leesburg and Atwood area most of his life and lived in Florida after eight years before moving to Fort Wayne in November 2018.
He formerly attended the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Warsaw.
He is survived by his daughter, Tina Marie Brady, Albany; son: David Allen (Martha) Saull, Auburn; step-daughter: Melody Heisman, Michigan City; five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two wives, and two brothers: Robert and Donald Saull.
Visitation will be from 2-3 p.m. on Saturday, July 6, at Owen Family Funeral Home, SR 13 and CR 500N, North Webster. Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. on Saturday in the funeral home with Pastor Greg Krafft of the Cedar Creek Church in Fort Wayne officiating. Burial will take place in the Leesburg Cemetery.
