Officers from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
11:55 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, North CR 425W, north of West CR 900N, Milford. Driver: Drew A. Beer, 24, North CR 425W, Milford. Beer told police he was driving his vehicle southbound on CR 425W when an unknown animal ran into his path, causing him to swerve and his vehicle to leave the roadway and strike a utility pole. Damage up to $10,000.
9:50 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, North CR 650E, south of East CR 300N, Warsaw. Driver: David C. Lindley, 25, North CR 700E, Leesburg. Lindley told police he was driving his vehicle southbound on CR 650E, and lost control of the vehicle, causing it to leave the roadway and roll over onto the passenger’s side. Damage up to $10,000.
12:47 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, East Bowser Road, north of North CR 300E, Milford. Drivers: Danica W. Masterson, 17, Herscher Drive, Warsaw; Cole M. Jordan, 19, Amber Meadows Drive, Goshen. Police said Masterson was driving her vehicle westbound and was stopped at a stop sign. Masterson told police she saw a box truck turning eastbound onto Bowser Road, but did not see the vehicle driven by Jordan behind that box truck. Masterson drove her vehicle into the path of the vehicle driven by Jordan. Jordan suffered an abrasion on his lower arm. A passenger in Masterson’s vehicle, Juniper Masterson, 16, complained of back pain and was transported to an area hospital. Two other passengers in Masterson’s vehicle, Wyatt C. Shepherd, 18, and Ashlynn V. Stachowski, complained of pain but were not transported. Damage up to $25,000.
10:15 p.m. Sunday, June 23, South County Farm Road, south of CR 300S, Warsaw. Driver: Trenton I. Black, 22, Clear Creek Trail, North Manchester. Black told police he was driving his vehicle southbound on County Farm Road when a deer entered the roadway. He told police he was unable to avoid hitting the deer with his vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
6:56 p.m. Sunday, June 23, West US 30, west of CR 700W, Warsaw. Drivers: Michael A. Whitaker, 36, West CR 550N, Warsaw; Thomas V. Jasinski, 21, 7B Road, Plymouth. Jasinski told police that Whitaker was driving his vehicle westbound on US 30 and collided with his vehicle before leaving the scene. Police made contact with Whitaker and received his information. Damage up to $5,000.
5:17 p.m. Saturday, June 22, North CR 650E and East CR 200N, North Webster. Drivers: Elizabeth A. Harris, 20, EMS B12 Lane, Pierceton; Cinda S. Culver, 69, East CR 600N, North Webster. Harris told police she was driving her vehicle westbound on CR 200N and did not see the vehicle driven by Culver when she attempted to turn onto CR 650E, causing her to turn her vehicle into the path of the vehicle driven by Culver. Damage up to $25,000.
5:49 p.m. Friday, June 21, West US 30, west of CR 200W, Warsaw. Driver: Shannon M. Krumma, 44, Yoder Road, Yoder. Krumma told police he was driving his vehicle on US 30 when he took a sip of tea, began to cough because he aspirated on the tea and passed out, causing his vehicle to leave the roadway and come to rest in a ditch, damaging several poles. Damage up to $10,000.
Warsaw
Officers from the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:
8:23 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, South SR 15 and South Lake Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Simon D. Korazemo, 63, Evergreen Avenue, Portage; Sarah M. Herring, 29, Kincaide Street, Warsaw. Police said Korazemo was driving his vehicle southbound on SR 15 and began to pass the vehicle driven by Herring on the right side, in the shoulder. Herring began to turn right and Korazemo told police he could not avoid a collision. Damage up to $2,500.
