NORTH WEBSTER — World class yo-yo champion and juggler Mark Hayward headlines the Summer Reading Program next week at North Webster Community Public Library when he performs 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 26.
Marveling his audience with his extraordinary skills, he will perform his amazing yo-yo and juggling tricks. Hayward has appeared on the “Late Night Show with David Letterman,” “Late Night Show with James Corden,” “America’s Got Talent” and “NBC Nightly News.” The show is free and open to all children and their families.
Kids will have the opportunity to learn about North Webster Fire Department from Fire Chief Jeremy Likens during North Webster Adventures 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 27; then catch a free movie later that day with two showings at noon and 3 p.m. Showing is a 2019 animated sequel featuring characters and a world constructed with interlocking building blocks in an epic adventure that faces a threat from outer space. The movie is rated PG with free popcorn.
The Youth Department winds up the week Friday, June 28, with Family Food and Fun where kids learn about rockets with four learning stations of activities, crafts and snack. Pre-registration is required to attend with a choice of three sessions at 10:30 a.m., noon or 3 p.m.
The Adult Services Department begins next week with Voyager Book Club meeting 10:30 Monday, June 24, to discuss mystery books. If you’ve read a good mystery lately, bring it to Voyager and share what you have read.
It will be sweet time at Revolving Recipe Round-Up 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, when the group meets to share and sample desserts and exchange recipes. If you’ve got a sweet tooth, prepare your favorite dessert and bring it to Revolving Recipe Round-Up. The library provides table service and coffee.
Those planning a road trip this summer can take along some audio books to listen to while traveling. The library has added lots of titles to its collection. Audio books can also be downloaded onto your smart phone or mobile device using the Libby App available from Indiana Overdrive.
