Kosciusko
Officers from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
10:14 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, South SR 19, south of West SR 10, Etna Green. Driver: Zane Lampman Rogers, 20, South SR 19, Akron. Rogers told police he was driving his vehicle southbound on SR 19 when he lost control of his vehicle, causing it to leave the roadway and re-enter the road when Rogers over-corrected. The vehicle left the roadway again and struck a tree, damaging the vehicle, the tree and a yard. Damage up to $25,000.
2:16 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, East US 30, east of South CR 250E, Pierceton. Driver: Jerry M. Brown, 29, Rivermet Avenue, Fort Wayne. Brown told police he was driving his vehicle westbound on US 30 when his vehicle began to hydroplane, causing it to leave the roadway. Damage up to $10,000.
Warsaw
Officers from the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
5:27 p.m. Thursday, June 20, South Bronson Street, south of East Jefferson Street, Warsaw. Driver: Keith W. Harris, 31, Westside Drive, Warsaw. Harris told police he was driving his vehicle northbound on South Bronson Street and said he slowed down to cross railroad tracks. Harris told police his vehicle was rear-ended by a black passenger car, which fled the scene. Damage up to $5,000.
3:16 p.m. Thursday, June 20, North Reed Street, east of East Fort Wayne Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Keri A. Jackson, 46, South Indiana Street, Warsaw; Rene B. Williams, 59, East Sycamore Street, Silver Lake. Jackson told police she was driving her vehicle on Reed Street and had stopped at a stop sign. She said she saw the vehicle driven by Williams approaching the intersection, but thought she had enough time to cross. Williams’ vehicle struck Jackson’s vehicle in the intersection. Damage up to $2,500.
