Wards Celebrating 40 Years Of Marriage

Steve and Sue Ward now.
NORTH WEBSTER — Steve and Sue Ward, North Webster, will be celebrating 40 years of marriage. Steve Ward and Sue Holzinger were married June 10, 1979, at St. Martin DePorres Church with Rev. Kenneth Sarrazine officiating. The Wards are the owners of Sue’s Creations Floral and Gift Shop in North Webster and have been the original owners for 37 years.
In their spare time away from work, the Wards enjoy spending time with their family, including their two daughters, Ashley Ward (fiancé Nathan Ries) and Nicole (Trent) Nabinger, along with their five grandchildren, Jaxon, Colton, Ethan, Rihanna and Remington. They enjoy pontooning, skiing, swimming, traveling, getting chai with friends and being around good company.
Mr. and Mrs. Ward are members of the North Webster American Legion Post 253 and Sue served as chamber of commerce president for six years. Sue now is the co-chair of Dixie Day. Steve has been a Lion International for 35 years.
An anniversary celebration was held Sunday, June 9, hosted by their daughters. They will also be taking a cruise in September.
A word of advice for a lasting marriage is to never let the romance die. Continue to “date” each other and always think of the other as you would yourself, and never go to bed mad.
