Rita Joan Brown
Rita Joan (King) Brown, 68, Warsaw, passed away at 1:17 a.m., Saturday, June 8, 2019, in her residence. She was born on Oct. 16, 1950, to Richard and Joan (Bowser) King in Warsaw. She was united in marriage on Jan. 27, 1972, to Johnny Ray Brown in Warsaw.
She was a lifetime resident of Warsaw. She worked for Lear Corp-Automotive Interior Manufacturing. She was a member of God’s Highway to Heaven church.
Rita is survived by her husband, Johnny Ray Brown of Warsaw; children: Kory (spouse Amber) Brown of Summerville, S.C.; Tammy Brown, Tracy (spouse Jimmy) Lisenbee, Ridley Brown, and Jodie Brown all of Warsaw. In addition, she is survived by mother, Joan King of Warsaw; sister, Deb (spouse Larry) Steller of Collierville, Tenn.; brothers: Richard (spouse Diane) King, Jr. of Laketon; and John King of Pierceton; 17 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She is preceded by father; Richard King, daughter; Kelly Jo Hatfield, grandson; Griffin D. Shenefield.
Her visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., Wednesday, June 12, at God’s Highway to Heaven Church, Warsaw. Her funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 13, in God’s Highway to Heaven Church-Warsaw with Pastor Bob Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw. McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw is entrusted with arrangements.
