Clarence I. ‘Buzz’ Mowery
Clarence I. “Buzz” Mowery, 92, North Webster, passed away at 5:50 a.m. on Tuesday, June 4, 2019, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Syracuse. He was born on March 11, 1927, in Bluffton to Howard A. and Hazel (Blair) Mowery.
He grew up in Bluffton, attended Bluffton High School, and was a United States Army & Air Corps veteran. He was married on Feb. 18, 1956, in Columbia City, to Jacqueline Sue “Jackie” Fahrnow who preceded him on Feb. 18, 1995. He formerly worked at Scarborols Egg Processing, Cline Trucking, Lucky Burgers, and Tasty Freeze all in Huntington. He lived in Huntington for many years until he moved to the North Webster area in 1979.
He formerly attended Central Christian Church in Huntington and was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 253 in North Webster.
He is survived by his daughter, Deb (Greg) Bushee of Uniondale; two sons: Rod (Deb) Mowery of Bremen; and William “Willy” (Nadine) Mowery of North Webster; five grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; six step great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two sisters, Mary Jane Liggett and Mae Frauhiger, and three brothers, Howard Jr., Bob, and Joe Mowery.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, June 7, at Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd 13 and CR 500N, North Webster. Military honors will take place at 7 p.m. on Friday in the funeral home with Russ Chandler and the North Webster American Legion Post 253. Private family burial will take place in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery, 11201 S. Marion Road-35, Marion.
