KOSCIUSKO — For the third year in a row, Christ’s Covenant Church in Winona Lake will host Wednesdays at the Park during the summer.

This year, the church will host five events at local parks throughout the community. At the events, parents and children can participate in games, hear stories and enjoy free food. Snacks and hot dogs will be available at each event.

“These events are really great ways to meet new people and it’s a great opportunity for us to serve our community,” said Jordan Weddle, director of children’s ministries at Christ’s Covenant Church.

Several people within the church have volunteered to help run the park events. Volunteers at the events will be wearing blue shirts. There will also be yard signs at each park to help direct attendees to where each event is taking place.

The following events will take place throughout the community at three different parks. If it rains or there is bad weather during a scheduled event, it will not take place and is not rescheduled. Each event will run from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

• June 5 — McKinley Park, East Main Street
• June 19 — Winona Lake Limitless Park, Park Avenue
• July 10 — Kiddieland Park, Center Lake
• July 24 — McKinley Park, East Main Street
• Aug. 7 — Winona Lake Limitless Park, Park Avenue

“It’s always great to see kids interact with others and it’s awesome seeing our church community make new friends with those who attend,” said Weddle.
