Area Accident Reports
Syracuse
Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accidents:
7:40 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, 8127 East McClintic Road, Syracuse. Driver: Kandice Ferguson, 16, Greenhaus Drive, Syracuse. Ferguson was fleeing from law enforcement in a stolen sheriff’s squad car. Ferguson lost control of the vehicle and crashed through a fence and into a storage building. The driver then took off on foot from the accident. Damages up to $25,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
3:18 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, North Lake Street and West Main Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Carly Click, 17, Lovetts Lane, Warsaw; and Brent Binkley, 57, Clearwater Drive, Warsaw. Click was driving her vehicle south on Lake Street and wanted to turn left onto Main Street. Click stated she had a green light and continued to turn, colliding with Binkley’s vehicle, which was traveling north on Lake Street in the process. The intersection did not have a green arrow and left turns are to yield to oncoming traffic. Click told officers she had received her license that day. Damages up to $10,000.
3:12 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, South SR 15, south of East Prarie Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Dana Cone, 70, CR 900N, Syracuse; and Linda Studebaker, 62, Saner Drive, Akron. Cone was traveling south on SR 15, waiting to turn left. Cone told officers that a vehicle in the northbound lane of SR 15 motioned him to turn left across their lane. Cone turned his vehicle into the lane and collided with a vehicle being driven by Studebaker. Damages up to $5,000.
Fulton
Officers with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accident:
6:34 a.m. Tuesday, May 28, South SR 25, Rochester, Drivers: Fabrice N. Tchouamo, 36, Indianapolis, and Ruben Romo Jr., 18, Rochester. Tchouamo’s semitractor/trailer collided with a vehicle driven by Romo.
