Curtis Ousley Jr.
Curtis Ousley Jr., 64 of Claypool passed away at 11:25 a.m. on May 24, 2019, in V.A. Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.
He was born on Jan. 30, 1955, in Prestonsburg, Kentucky to Curtis and Ruth (Hall) Ousley Sr. On Dec. 2, 1994, he was united in marriage to Linda Jackson in Van Wert, Ohio.
A lifetime Kosciusko County resident he was the owner and founder of Chopper’s Exotic where he raised lions, tigers, cougars, bears, monkeys and other exotic animals. He was an active member of the N.R.A. He proudly served his country in the United States Army.
He is survived by his wife Linda; children William Hunt of Mentone, Tanesha Hunt of Fort Wayne, Jamie (and spouse Latasha) Hunt of Warsaw and Jesse (and spouse Heather) Hunt of Warsaw. He is further survived by his siblings Troy (and spouse Janet) Ousley of Claypool and Deborah (and spouse Terry) Kreft of Claypool along with 17 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded by his mother in 2015 and his father in 2018.
His Funeral Service will be held in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, with Pastor Glenn Hall officiating. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 29. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery in Claypool with Military Honors.
