Street Closings Announced For Lakes Festival
WARSAW — There will be some road closings to accommodate The Northern Indiana Lakes Festival activities this weekend.
Beginning today, May 24, Canal Street between Detroit and Buffalo will be closed. It will reopen on Sunday at 6 p.m.
Also, on Saturday, May 25, from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., West Center Street and part of Indiana Street, from Center to Canal will also be closed for the festival parade.
The parade, which begins at 10:15 a.m. today, May 25, will start at the street department on West Center and heads east. It then turns south on Lake Street, east on Main Street, and south on Indiana Street. The parade will then loop around the parks office on the news street that merges with North Buffalo Street near Center Lake. (Editor’s note: This story was updated to reflect a revised parade route.)
The parade is scheduled to start at 10:15 a.m., according to the festival website.
