Area Police Reports
Kosciusko
Officers from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following incidents:
- 2:58 p.m. Sunday, May 19, 300 block of North Morgan Street, Mentone. Police responded to the Taylor Whybrew residence to investigate the theft of a license plate.
- 8:02 a.m. Saturday, May 18, 8700 block of West SR 14, Akron. Police took a report from Cassandra Lewis regarding damage to a vehicle from a truck topper falling off a vehicle and damaging another vehicle. A windshield and antenna were both broken.
- 3:51 p.m. Friday, May 17, 100 block of EMS B7 Lane, Leesburg. Police responded to the Nannette Mikuly residence to investigate a theft. Taken was a necklace with heart-shaped pendant, a gold ring, a ring shaped like an S and a diamond wire ring. Value: $900.
- 4:27 p.m. Thursday, May 16, 4200 block of South CR 700W, Mentone. Police responded to the Joseph Yocum residence to investigate a theft from a shop building. Taken was a tool box containing hand tools. Value: $500.
- 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, 8900 block of North CR 300E, Milford. Police responded to the Jack Sausaman residence to investigate a criminal mischief. A yard was damaged. Damage: $100.
Syracuse
Officers from the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following incidents:
- 11:06 a.m. Saturday, May 18, 100 block of East Main Street, Syracuse. Police responded to the Glen Mullet residence to investigate a criminal mischief. Damage was done to a structure. Damage: $200.
- 8:51 p.m. Friday, May 17, 100 block of East Main Street, Syracuse. Police responded to the Victoria Vazquez-Hernandez residence to investigate a theft. Taken was a jar contains approximately $250 in cash.
Warsaw
Officers from the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following incidents:
- 3:25 a.m. Monday, May 20, 3700 block of North SR 15, Warsaw. Police responded to the Alexander LaSalle residence to investigate an auto theft. Taken was 2010 Hyundai Tuscon. Value: $8,000. Also in the vehicle was personal property belonging to the vehicle, including a wallet with credit cards and driver’s license.
- 8:25 p.m. Sunday, May 19, 2500 block of Walton Boulevard, Warsaw. Police responded to Walmart to investigate a theft report. Taken was a soft drink, a pepperoni pizza, two bags of chips, a bottle of melatonin and other items not identified. Value: $27.31.
- 4:29 a.m. Sunday, May 19, 2200 block of East Jefferson Street, Warsaw. A bicycle-related item, which police did not identify, was found. Value: $90.
- 9:30 a.m. Saturday, May 18, 600 block of East Fort Wayne Street, Warsaw. Police responded to the John Arthur residence to investigate an auto theft. Taken was an orange Tao VIP, valued at $100.
