Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
7:56 a.m. Tuesday, May 14, on East CR 200N, west of North CR 175E, Warsaw. Drivers: Shannen Picon-Pimentel, 17, East CR 200N, Warsaw; Steven Hopper, 64, North Shaleview Court, Warsaw. Picon-Pimentel told police she had trouble seeing due to fog and sunshine while driving on CR 200N and that she struck an oncoming vehicle as she attempted to turn off the road. Damage was up to $25,000.
5:23 p.m. Monday, May 13, along North SR 13 in North Webster in the Dollar General parking lot. Driver: Matthew Trump, 38, East CR 400S, Warsaw; Susan Kaminiski, 64, East Asbury Lane, North Webster. Both cars collided as Trump’s vehicle was pulling out of a parking spot. Damage was up to $5,000.
3:06 p.m. Monday, May 13, on North CR 700W, north of West CR 400N near Warsaw. Driver: Gloria Miller, 32, West CR 650N, Etna Green. Driver struck a deer. Damage was up to $2,500.
11:54 p.m. Saturday, May 11, on US 30 east of South CR 325E, Warsaw. Driver: Lauren Ash, 25, Monte Vista Court, Fort Wayne. Driver struck a deer. Damage was up to $10,000.
3:33 p.m. Saturday, May 11, on SR 19, north of West CR 1350N, near Nappanee. Drivers: John Zimmerman, 44, CR 36, Goshen; Donny Paxton, 60, Idlewild Drive, Rochester. A vehicle pulling farm equipment struck a stationary construction truck involved in road construction in that area. Damage was up to $5,000.
North Webster
Officers with the North Webster Police Department investigated the following accident:
2:03 a.m. Tuesday, May 14, on SR 13, north of East Old Road 30 near North Webster. Driver: David Julian, 33, South SR 14, South Whitley. Driver struck a deer. Damage was up to $2,500.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
1:25 a.m. Tuesday, May 14, on US 30, east of Meijer Drive, Warsaw. Driver: William Conrad, 74, Water Street, Harlan. Driver struck a deer. Damage was up to $10,000.
11 p.m. Monday, May 13, on Anchorage Road near Kimal Drive. Driver: Sheree Sisk, 32, Pike Shore Drive, Warsaw. Motorist allegedly struck a pedestrian, Carolyn Flores, of Anchorage Road. Flores suffered serious injuries and was taken to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. Sisk left the scene but later contacted police. Damage to the vehicle was up to $10,000.
4:20 p.m. Saturday, May 11, on SR 15, south of Market Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Karl Gast, 33, Meadow Lane, Warsaw; Randy Jones, 65, South Colfax Street, Warsaw. Gast’s vehicle rear-ended Jones’ vehicle. Damage was up to $5,000.
12:04 p.m. Saturday, May 11, on Husky Trail, in the parking lot of Menard’s. Driver: Richard Enyart, 62, Marion Avenue, Warsaw. Driver turned a corner in the parking lot and vehicle rubbed against a pole. Damage up to $2,500.
11:03 a.m. Saturday, May 11, on SR 15, south of East Winona Avenue, Warsaw. Drivers: Brittany Wilhite, 18, North 775E, Rochester; Larry Carlson, 58, South McClellan Street, Warsaw; Marco Hernandez, 35, Jean Street, Winona Lake. Wilhite said her brakes failed and she crashed into the car in front of her, driven by Carlson, which then crashed into the car in front of her, driven by Hernandez. Carlson and Hernandez both complained about pain but refused treatment. Two passengers in Hernandez’ vehicle, Romana Hernandez, 58, of East Levi Lee Road, Warsaw, and Marco Hernandez, 4, of Jean Street, Winona Lake, complained of pain. Marco Hernandez was taken by his parents to the hospital. Damage up to $25,000.
Fulton
Fulton County Sheriff’s Office were notified of the following accidents:
11:27 p.m. Saturday, May 11, SR 14 and CR 1000E. Driver: Micheel V. Waller, 38, Knox. Waller’s vehicle struck a fence and trailer at Franger Gas.
9:28 p.m. Friday, May 10, US 31, north of Old US 32. Driver: Sonja H. Streuber, 52, Valparaiso. Streuber’s vehicle hit a deer.
3:44 a.m. Friday, May 10, 217 W. 11th St., Rochester. Margaret Thorn, 69, Rochester, reported another vehicle just struck her vehicle.
Marshall
Marshall County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accident
1:31 p.m. Monday, May 13, US 31 and Veterans Parkway, Plymouth. Drivers: Gary M. Hurst, 39, South Bend and Makenzi LeRae Stallings, 20, Mishawaka. Hurst and a passenger in Stallings vehicle suffered minor injuries and transported to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth, for treatment. Hurst abruptly made an illegal U-turn causing several vehicles to apply the brakes to avoid colliding with his vehicle. Stalling’s vehicle served off the roadway into the grass median to avoid hitting other vehicles and in the process hit Hurst’s vehicle while it was completing the U-turn. Hurst was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a BAC of .15 percent or higher with prior and operating a vehicle after being adjudged a habitual traffic violator.
