TIPPECANOE VALLEY 13, MARION 2
Valley used a rejuvenated offense to stop an eight-game skid at Marion.
A seven-run third inning was the ticket for the Vikes, started by back-to-back RBIs from Amy Baca and Brayden Baney. Ally Betten would later add an RBI single, and a pair of Giant errors pushed the score to 8-0.
Baca had herself quite a night, going 4-for-4 with four runs scored and two RBIs. Baney had two hits and two RBIs, Kirstyn Yoder drove in two, and both Taylor Czichilski and Kirsten Prater combined for three hits and four runs scored.
Macy Kirchenstein struck out seven over five innings to get the win for Valley. The lone mistake was a two-run homer off the bat of Ky Adkins.
Valley (4-12) host Wabash Friday in a make-up game in the Three Rivers Conference.

Caston built a 6-0 lead through two innings before exploding for 12 runs in the third. Layne Oliver had a grand slam and drove in five total runs, Eillie Deming had three hits and four RBIs and Ady Harsh went 4-for-4 with two runs scored.
