Dustin A. Carty
Dustin A. Carty, 39, Syracuse, passed away at 8:31 a.m., Wednesday, May 8, 2019, in Warsaw. He was born on Dec. 14, 1979, in Crawfordsville, to Keith and Denise (Reffitt) Carty. He is survived by his wife Bianca of 14 years.
He was a professional truck driver with over 15 years of experience. He was currently employed with Metzger Trucking in Silver Lake, with seven years of service in which he was awarded as a Master Truck Driver. As an example of his willingness to help and his selflessness, he was driving and came upon an accident involving an SUV landing on its top. While the state trooper removed the driver, Dusty broke the back window and rescued the child, who was hanging upside in their car seat.
He had driven over 2 million accident-free miles in his driving career which was his passion. He was always willing to help his fellow drivers and anyone that needed his assistance. He loved and was much loved, by his family, co-workers, and friends.
In addition to his wife, Bianca, he is survived by his two sons, Trevor M. and Diesel, a daughter, Shellbi, parents Keith and Denise Carty of Warsaw; sister, Brittany (spouse James “Tex”) Hastings of Warsaw; grandfather John (spouse Beverly) Norman of Crawfordsville; grandmother Lillian Carty of Warsaw; father and mother-in-law, Matt and Brigitte Kemper of Syracuse; sister-in-law, Jessica Kemper of Cromwell; brother-in-law, Adam Kemper of Syracuse; along with several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded by a grandmother, Phyllis Norman and a grandfather, Jack Carty.
Visitation hours are scheduled from 2-8 p.m., Tuesday May 14, in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday May 15, 2019 at 11 a.m. in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw officiated by Dan Metzger. Interment will follow in Syracuse Cemetery, Syracuse.
