Register for Red Cross swim lessons at WMS
SYRACUSE — American Red Cross will be holding two sessions of swim lessons at the Wawasee Middle School pool in the month of June. Session one will run from June 3-14, and session two, June 17-28.
Registration will be held at WMS, 9850 SR 13, from 8 a.m. to noon May 11; and 8 to 11 a.m. May 25. Enter at the southeast entrance near the pool. Registration may also be made at the start of each session for any available openings.
The cost is $60 per child. Make checks payable to Wawasee High School.
Five levels of classes will be available, starting with parent and child — ages 6 months to 3 years old.
Level two teaches fundamental aquatic skills; level three, stroke development; level four, stroke improvement; level five, stroke refinement.
All classes last 45 minutes with all levels available at various times, starting at 8:30 a.m. and running through 12:15 p.m. Evening classes are available from 6 until 7:45 p.m.
Start times for parent and child classes are scheduled for 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Level two and three classes are available at all start times: 8:30 a.m., 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 6 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Level four classes are held at all start times except 6 p.m.
Level five classes are held at 8:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.
