William Joseph Heiman
William Joseph Heiman, 81, passed away on May 7, 2019, in Warsaw. He was born on March 29, 1938, In Warsaw, to Anthony and Sophia (Uhlenhake) Heiman.
He established, owned, and operated Heiman Construction for over 40 years and received numerous awards for excellence in concrete construction. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting pheasant, deer, morel mushrooms, and an occasional turkey. He holds two records in the Boone and Crockett record book for a moose and elk that he shot in British Columbia in 1969. When he wasn’t hunting he enjoyed watching old Western movies, rooting for the Indiana and Duke basketball teams and spending time with family and friends. He touched many lives with his charming personality and passion for life.
He is survived by his wife Beverly Heiman of Warsaw; a daughter, Elizabeth Heiman of Claypool; sons: Anthony and Matthew (spouse Kristen) both of Warsaw; Andrew (spouse Ah) of Northbrook, Ill.; Jackson (spouse Mindy) Stookey of Winona Lake; Blaine Stookey of Warsaw; and brother, Ray (spouse Jackie) Heiman of Carmel. He will lovingly be remembered by his 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded by his sisters Evelyn Yarian, Rosemary Kerr and Eloise Kinsey; brothers James, Leo, Paul and Richard Heiman.
Visitation hours are scheduled from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, Friday, May 10, 2019 in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. His Funeral Service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday May 11, 2019 in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw with Pastor Wayne Balmer officiating.
