GOSHEN 6, NORTHWOOD 1
Making up ground in the Northern Lakes Conference, NorthWood couldn’t get its bats going against the RedHawks in Nappanee.
The Panthers mustered just four hits, Amanda Jenkins getting two of them and adding a walk for her day. Otherwise, Gracie Clark had an RBI single and Lily Lomeli added a single, but that was it against Brynn Shoup-Hill. The sophomore ace for Goshen struck out four in the complete game.
Ashton Darnell and Devin Shipley each had two hits and two RBIs while Olivia Koshmider added two hits and run scored.
NorthWood (7-12, 2-8 NLC) goes right back to work Wednesday against Warsaw.
NORTH JUDSON 10, TRITON 0
Triton lost its ninth straight game in a dimer against Hoosier North Athletic Conference North Judson.
In the losing streak, Triton has allowed 10 or more runs in all nine games and has been dimed in eight of them.
And for the second time in as many weeks, Triton has had a perfect game thrown at it. Delaney Kaminski had the honor Tuesday, needing just 66 pitches to pull off the accomplishment. Kaminski struck out 12 of the 15 batters.
Breanne Korous offered plenty of offense, doubling among her three hits and driving in three.
