WARSAW 11, PLYMOUTH 0
Courtney Chookie had her finest pitching performance of the season, firing a no-hitter at Plymouth Monday night.
Chookie tossed her first career no-no, allowing just two walks and striking out seven. For good measure, Chookie belted her first homer of the season in the second inning.
Madison Lane drove in three and Hudson Bolinger two for the Tigers, which ended an eight-game losing skid.
Warsaw (5-13, 3-7 NLC) visit NorthWood Wednesday.
WAWASEE 13, NORTHWOOD 3
A two-run lead didn’t last long for NorthWood Monday night.
A pair of runs in the first for the Panthers were quick erased by Wawasee, which hung five runs in the third, then tacked on eight more runs over the course of the next four innings before NorthWood could respond.
Abi Smith had a monster night, homering twice and driving in six. Smith was one of three Warriors with four hits, joined by Faith Swihart and Beth Flannery, the two combining for three runs scored and three driven in. Delaney Hare added two hits and an RBI.
Kiaundra Olson took the win for Wawasee, working all six innings, allowing three runs on nine hits, striking out three.
NorthWood had Amanda Jenkins, Gracie Clark and Kylie Thornton all collect two hits. Clark took the loss in the circle, allowing eight runs on 11 hits in just 2.2 innings of work.
Wawasee (11-8, 7-3 NLC) hosts Northridge in a key NLC matchup while NorthWood (7-11, 2-7 NLC) meet Bethany Christian Tuesday.
ROCHESTER 4, TIPPECANOE VALLEY 0
Maci Brown was dealing Monday for the Zebras.
Brown fired a three-hit shutout, striking out 10 and walking just two in a commanding performance.
Emily Hughes had three hits and an RBI and Carlee Blackburn chipped in an RBI for Rochester.
Amy Baca, Ally Betten and Bradyen Baney all had singles for Valley. Mayde Fear surrendered 10 hits in taking the pitching loss for the Vikes.
Valley (3-11, 0-5 TRC) visit Peru Wednesday.
CULVER 19, TRITON 15
A wild one in the Hoosier North Athletic Conference saw the Cavs outduel the Trojans.
Culver scored eight runs in the second and six runs in the fifth en route to the win.
Triton would score in every inning, but found itself down 19-6 before getting the offense going. Triton had 10 hits and drew 14 walks, led by two hits, two walks and three RBIs from Lauren Snyder. Erin Ogle had three hits and a pair driven in, Madeline Doll reached base three times and scored three runs, and Jaelyn Bules tripled and drove in two.
Triton (3-11, 0-5 HNAC) will try again Tuesday at home against North Judson.
