United Way To Hold Diaper And Wipes Donation Drive May 7
KOSCIUSKO — United Way of Kosciusko County will host a diaper and wipes drop-off event from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, at the K21 Pavilion.
People interested in donating a Bundle of Joy can purchase diapers and wipes and bring them to the K21 Pavilion or have them shipped directly to United Way through their Amazon list at http://a.co/buHBAme. The diaper and wipe drive will continue to run through the summer with a celebration and final distribution happening during United Way’s Days of Caring from Aug. 19 to 22.
The diaper drive will be the first event for a bigger mission — to raise 25,000 diapers for parents of young children in Kosciusko County as United Way’s Big Give project for 2019. This is an opportunity to give back in honor of Mother’s Day.
In the United States, one in three families struggle to afford diapers for their children. United Way is helping to bring interested community members together to help address this need. All diapers and wipes collected will go to local diaper banks and social service organizations working with families in need.
