Joan A. Cox, 92, Warsaw, passed away at 10:15 a.m., Wednesday, May 1, 2019, in Warsaw. She was born in Montpelier, Ohio on July 2, 1926, to Alfred and Theresa (Smith) Grant. She was united in marriage to Ellis N. Cox on March 2, 1946, in Montpelier, Ohio.

She was a resident in Warsaw for 64 years. She was employed at Kimm Paint Store in Warsaw for 25 years. She attended WCC Warsaw. She loved hanging out with her friends at the local McDonald’s. Her greatest passion in life was being a mother. She left behind nothing but beautiful memories for her children and those who knew her.

She is survived by two sons: Michael (spouse Mary Jo) Cox and David (spouse Cathy) Cox: two daughters: Patty (spouse Doug) Moore and Cathy (spouse Robert) Barth, all of Warsaw; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, one brother Max Grant of Montpelier, Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Ellis N. Cox, a grandson Ryan Cox, one brother Joe Grant, and a step-father, Melvin Worthington.

Visitation hours will be held from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8, in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw.

Funeral Services will also be at 1 p.m., Wednesday, May 8, in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw with Pastor Steve Rahn officiating.

Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
