Mentone Man Faces Drug Charges
MENTONE — A Mentone man was arrested after police were contacted regarding a male under the influence of methamphetamine at a residence in Kosciusko County.
Adam Ray Lindley, 23, 6663 West CR 500S, No. 6, Mentone, is being charged with possession of methamphetamine, a level 5 felony.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, on April 18, an officer with the Warsaw Police Department arrived at the scene and observed a male, later identified as Lindley, yelling at a female. The officer observed Lindley’s motions to be over-exaggerated and Lindley was reportedly unable to stand still. Based on the officer’s past training and experience, it appeared that Lindley was intoxicated on a stimulant.
Court documents state that the officer spoke with a female at the scene, who advised that Lindley uses methamphetamine on a regular basis. After obtaining permission to search Lindley’s vehicle, police found three minor children in the vehicle. Upon searching the vehicle, police discovered a plastic container that contained a residue. The residue field-tested positive for methamphetamine.
Lindley was booked at the Kosciusko County Jail April 18 on a $5,250 surety and cash bond.
