NORTHWOOD 2, CONCORD 1
NorthWood plated two runs in the bottom of the seventh to beat Concord on a walk-off in Plymouth Wednesday.
Sellers drove in the game-winner, and he, Kyler Hauptli, Jack Wysong and Jacob Raasch tallied the only hits for Wood, which moved to 10-4 and 5-2 in the Northern Lakes Conference.
Matt Dutkowski scattered just three hits over seven innings, allowing one earned run with six strikeouts.
The Panthers play Northridge Friday night at 5:15 p.m.
WARSAW 3, WAWASEE 0
Warsaw earned its second Northern Lakes Conference win — and second straight — with a 3-0 shutout of Wawasee Wednesday.
Noah Burgh scattered four hits in a complete-game shutout, striking out eight in the win for the Tigers.
The Tigers got their offense started in the second inning when Matt Shoemaker hit a solo home run, and Alex Light singled in Joey Springer to put the Tigers up 2-0. Ian Glogovsky scored on a Liam Patton single in the fifth to push the lead to 3-0, which would be enough for Warsaw.
Levi Brown took the pitching loss, giving up five hits and two walks with a strikeout in the loss. Carter Woody collected two of Wawasee’s three hits, and Parker Young and Logan Adkins recorded the other two.
Aaron Greene, Light, Springer, Shoemaker, Patton, and Jacob Hutcherson each managed one hit to lead Warsaw (5-10, 2-5). The Tigers are in action again Friday at Goshen. First pitch is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
The Warriors slip to 8-6 and 3-4 in conference play. Wawasee will play at Memorial Friday at 5 p.m.
