Sonja Decker — UPDATED
Sonja Decker, 55, Warsaw, passed away 11:01 April 27, 2019, in her residence.
She was born on Dec. 20, 1963, in Warsaw to Richard and Judith (Myers) Plotner. On July 29, 1995, she was united in marriage to Dan Decker, who survives.
A lifetime Warsaw resident she worked for Warsaw Community Schools as a teacher’s aide and also served in the cafeteria. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Warsaw.
She is survived by her husband, Dan; her children: Erica (and spouse Chris) Edwards of Goshen; and Gregory (and fiancé Sarah Woodruff) Tidwell of Milford. She is further survived by her mother, Judy (and spouse Roger) Middleton of Warsaw; sister; Teresa Ternet of Fort Wayne; grandchildren: Felicia Edwards, Delilah Edwards, Saffron Tidwell and Theodore Tidwell.
A visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m., and 6-8 p.m., Thursday, May 2, in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel in Warsaw. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, May 3, in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel in Warsaw with Pastor Gary Boschain officiating. Interment will be private.
