NorthWood Offering Host Of Sports Opportunities
NAPPANEE – NorthWood’s football program is joining with the Maple Syrup Festival this weekend to present a unique opportunity for kids.
The festival, which will take place Saturday in Wakarusa, will first host a parade that will feature the middle school and high school football programs. The parade starts at 10 a.m. and will meet on the corner of Park and High Street at 9:45 a.m. to prepare to walk in the parade, Children can be picked up at Wakarusa Middle School at the conclusion of the parade. Players are encouraged to wear their jerseys from last year or a NorthWood football shirt.
In addition there will be a Punt, Pass and Kick for all kindergarten through seventh grade players. Registration starts at 11:30 a.m. for the competition.

NorthWood also announced Friday afternoon its high school girls sports camp, which will run from June 24-27 at the high school. The camp centers around volleyball and girls basketball and is intended for girls in grades 1-9 entering the 2019-20 school year.
Campers will have a choice between just girls basketball, just volleyball, or both with a variance on times and costs per decision. Online forms and camp information can be found online, or in physical forms available at Woodview, Nappanee or Wakarusa Elementary Schools.
