Raymond Eugene Scarberry
Raymond Eugene Scarberry, 70, Nappanee, died at 4:59 a.m., Wednesday, April 24, 2019, unexpectedly at his residence of natural causes.
He was born March 27, 1949, in McArthur, Ohio to AJ and Avis (Weiski-Hill) Scarberry. He moved to Nappanee in the mid 70’s from Jackson, Ohio.
On June 7, 1975, he married Patricia Boyer in Nappanee. He was a member of Mt. Tabor Church God. He was a Cubs and White Sox fan.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Scarberry, Nappanee; daughters, Sandra Boyer, Nappanee; Stephaine (Joey) Sword, Pikeville, Ky.; grandson, Jacob Sword; granddaughter, Caylie (Sammy) Bevins; great-granddaughters, Brooklie Bevins and Karmann Bevins; brothers, David (Denise) Scarberry, Scottsboro, Ala.; James (Becky) Scarberry, Bourbon; sister, Cathy Long, Warsaw; several nieces and nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Clifford Scarberry; and a sister, Sharon Hensley.
Family and friends may call from 2-8 p.m., Friday, April 26, at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 27, also at the funeral home. Pastor Jeremy Grueser, of Mt. Tabor Church of God, will officiate. Burial will be in Union Center Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
