Milford Woman Arrested For Counterfeiting
MILFORD — A Milford woman was recently arrested after she admitted to using a counterfeit $5 bill at a local Dollar General.
Christina Diane Golden, 56, 602 W. Section St. 114, Milford, is being charged with counterfeiting, a level 6 felony.
On April 5, an officer with the Milford Police Department was dispatched to Dollar General in reference to a counterfeit bill. A Dollar General employee told the officer that a subject identified as Golden had used a $5 bill at the store. After the purchase, the employee marked the bill and discovered the bill provided by Golden was counterfeit.
While the officer was speaking to the employee, Golden entered the store and said, “It was me, I did it.” Golden was then released from the scene and advised that charges would be filed.
Golden was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on April 24, with a $2,500 surety and cash bond.
