BREAKING — Male Airlifted Following Single-Vehicle Accident On Old Road 30
WARSAW — A male subject was flown by air ambulance after a single-vehicle accident in the area of Old Road 30.
At approximately noon Thursday, April 25, Atwood Fire Department, Lutheran EMS and the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office were called to the scene of a vehicle accident in the area of 4234 W. Old Road 30, near Creighton’s Crazy Egg Cafe, Warsaw.
Initial arriving deputies located a 1996 Chevrolet pickup in a group of pine trees west of a barn on the north side of the roadway. The driver of the Chevrolet pickup was identified as Danny Hale, 65, Warsaw.
Preliminary investigation indicates that the Chevrolet pickup was traveling eastbound on Old Road 30, west of the crash location. The vehicle left the roadway, traveled through a field and struck a pine tree. Lutheran Air ambulance was called to the scene due to arm and leg injuries.
According to officers, alcohol is believed to be a factor. The crash remains under investigation by the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office.
