Teresa Lynn Tackett, 57 and a lifetime resident of Warsaw, passed away unexpectedly at 2:58 a.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2019, in Kosciusko Community Hospital.
The daughter of Arlas Slaven and Sharon (Webster) Palmer, Terrie, as most knew her, was born on June 16, 1961 in Warsaw. She attended Tippecanoe Valley High School and worked for Crystal Lake Egg Products (Creighton Brothers) for more than thirty-two years.
She was a sweet, outgoing personality who always had a smile. She rarely knew a stranger and found great reward in helping others. She was a giving, caring woman of faith with a true love for the Lord. She was a member of Living Hope Ministries in Warsaw. She also loved animals, especially dogs, and enjoyed watching professional wrestling and daytime dramas.
On July 4, 1998, she was wed to Clifford Tackett. The two spent nearly twenty-one years together; Clifford survives in Warsaw. Also surviving are son, Cory Mackenzie Smith, Warsaw; mother, Sharon Palmer, Warsaw and sister, Linda (Roy) Cervantes, Columbia City.
She was preceded in death by father, Arlas Slaven and both sets of grandparents.
Tackett’s life will be celebrated in a funeral service at noon Monday, April 22, in Titus Funeral Home, 2000 East Sheridan Street, Warsaw. Pastor Hedgel Perry of Living Hope Ministries will officiate with burial in Warsaw’s Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will take place for two hours before the service.
