PLYMOUTH 7, WARSAW 4
The Warsaw Tigers lost the lead late in an NLC defeat at Plymouth on Friday.
The Tigers started the scoring with two runs in the second and one in the third before the Pilgrims responded with one in the bottom of the third. Warsaw would add one more run in the top of the fourth inning, but that’s all the offense the Tigers would muster the rest of the way.
Plymouth would tie the game in the bottom of the fourth and then add three more runs in the bottom of the fifth to go ahead for good. The Tigers threatened in the top of the seventh but were unable to push any runs home.
Noah Burgh took the loss for the Tigers. He went six innings, allowing seven runs on 10 hits and striking out seven.
Warsaw tallied nine hits on the day with Liam Patton (3-for-4) and Ian Glogovsky (2-for-4) leading the way. The Tigers (3-6, 0-3 NLC) are in action next at NorthWood on Monday. Game time is scheduled for 5 p.m.
