SYRACUSE – Wawasee earned its second dual win of the young golf season with a 48-stroke win over visiting Central Noble Tuesday afternoon.
The matchup at South Shore Golf Club saw Wawasee protect its turf in a 162-210 victory.
The Warriors had dual medalists in Tyler Bosstick and Evan Dippon, both firing 39s with teammate Zach Leedy right behind at 40. Dillon Drake gave Wawasee its fourth score at 44, which bested any of the Central Noble scores.
The Cougars had Nick Alwine lead the team with a 46, followed by a 49 from Riley Smith, 50 from Logan Behm and 62 from Logan Gipe.
Wawasee’s JV played well in shooting a 175 to Central’s 235. Victor Tayagua and Riley Menzie each shot 42s to lead the Warriors. Caden Welty had a 44 and Caleb Clevenger added a 47.
Wawasee (2-1) plays again Saturday at the Whitko Invite.
