Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
2:44 a.m. Wednesday, April 17, North CR 150W, south of West CR 500N, Warsaw. Driver: Nathaniel C. Behny, 38, Cambridge Drive, Warsaw. Behny’s vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $2,500.
8:40 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, Old Road 30, east of North CR 450E, Warsaw. Driver: Donna M. Rhoades, 58, North CR 850E, North Webster. Rhodes’ vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $5,000.
Syracuse
Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accidents:
3:53 p.m. Monday, April 15, SR 13, south of Harkless Road, Syracuse. Driver: Charles V. Stansell, 50, Connie Jean Crossing, Garrett. Stansell told police a vehicle in front of him made a sudden stop and Stansell had to lay his motorcycle down on its side in order to avoid a collision with the other vehicle. Stansell stated he was temporarily pinned underneath the motorcycle but was able to get out. He refused medical treatment but did complain of pain in his hip and leg. Damage up to $2,500.
3:15 p.m. Monday, April 15, Syracuse-Webster Road, Syracuse. Drivers: Alexander R. Mathew, 18, Pied Piper Parkway, Cromwell; and Ricky D. Smith, 45, US 33, Albion. Mathew stated he was stopped at a stop sign and then proceeded to go through the intersection. He advised he thought Smith was going straight; however, Smith made a left turn. Mathew’s vehicle struck Smith’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
