Syracuse Woman Arrested For Counterfeiting
KOSCIUSKO — A Syracuse woman was recently arrested after police say she used a counterfeit $100 bill at a local store.

Erica Jill Weisser, 37, 428 EMS D15 Lane, Syracuse, is being charged with counterfeiting, a level 6 felony.
On March 26, an officer with the North Webster Police Department responded to New Market in reference to a counterfeit bill. Upon the officer’s arrival, two employees advised that a customer, identified as Weisser, had presented a counterfeit $100 bill.
According to the employees, Weisser entered the store and presented the bill to the employees at the register. Weisser then shopped while the two employees checked the bill. Weisser returned to the register and purchases merchandise totaling $11.74 and collects the change from the $100 bill.
The officer took possession of the $100 bill and confirmed that it was counterfeit. The officer also observed surveillance footage of the incident and positively identified the individual presenting the counterfeit bill as Weisser.
Weisser was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on April 15, with a $10,250 surety and cash bond.
