Iris V. Dickerhoff
She was born on Aug. 3, 1932, in her grandmother’s home in rural Etna Green to Alden and Emma (Sparrow) Jones.
She married Richard D. Dickerhoff on March 1, 1952, in Claypool, he preceded her on May 20, 2005.
Iris was a homemaker and co-owner/bookkeeper of Dickerhoff Trucking.
She was a graduate of Beaver Dam High School in 1950. She had been a longtime member of the Mentone United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Psi Iota Xi, Mentone Reading Club, John Purdue Club for many years, and the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary. She had also been a Democratic Precinct Committeeman for many years and was one of the original organizers of the Jack and Jill Preschool. She was one of the three Inaugural McKown Trophy Winners for the Cheerleading Squad with the Most Spirit in 1949 and inducted into the Kosciusko County Hall of Fame in 2012. She was an avid Purdue and Cubs Fan and enjoyed Tippecanoe Valley Sports.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mentone United Methodist Church or to the Kosciusko Home Care and Hospice.
