Kosciusko County Man Arrested On Child Pornography Charges
KOSCIUSKO — The Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested a 51-year-old man from Claypool yesterday morning, April 11, on charges related to the possession of child pornography.
The investigation began in January when a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children was received by the ICAC Task Force.
As a result of the investigation, a search warrant was obtained and served at 9:15 a.m. yesterday. Based on preliminary findings as a result of the search warrant, Kenneth R. Hyatt was arrested at his residence and incarcerated in the Kosciusko County Jail.
He is being held without bond on charges of possession of child pornography, a level 6 felony; and two counts of possession of child pornography – victims under the age of 12, level 5 felonies.
At this time, additional forensic examinations are on-going and the possibility of additional charges will be determined by the Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office.
The ICAC Task Force was assisted by the Kosciusko County Sheriff Department, Claypool Police Department, Fort Wayne Police Department and the Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office.
