WARSAW — A long-standing cooperative tradition, this marks the 80th annual meeting for Kosciusko REMC. On Saturday, April 13, the event will take place at Warsaw Community Church, 1855 S. Six candidates will vie for three seats on the Kosciusko REMC board of directors. Board incumbents, Kim Buhrt, John Hand, and Pam Messmore are opposed by Loretta Schafer, Richard Walker and Melanie Smith. Information on each candidate is available on the co-op’s website, www.kremc.com.
The business meeting will convene at 10 a.m. Attending members will receive a $10 credit on their electric bill and will also have a chance to win one of many fantastic door prizes. This year, the cooperative will award $1,000 scholarships to six lucky members.
“KREMC members won’t want to miss this year’s meeting.”, said KREMC’s Manager of Marketing and Communications, Jennifer Barger. “We will be discussing exciting things for the future of the cooperative, and it is essential for us to hear from our members. These meetings offer an excellent opportunity for us to express our appreciation for our members as well. So, we have quite a few things planned to do just that.”
