Historical Society Offering Tours Of John Dillinger’s Warsaw Raid On Friday
KOSCIUSKO — Come join the Kosciusko County Historical Society on Friday, April 12, to commemorate the 85th anniversary of John Dillinger’s infamous raid on the Warsaw Police station.
Relive the excitement of that fateful night when America’s most daring public enemy number one roamed the streets of downtown Warsaw with his gang of henchmen. The guided tour will retrace the steps of the bandits that night and retell the details of how the country’s most ruthless bank robbers matched wits with Warsaw’s heroic lone night police office J.D. Pittenger.
Tours will form at the Old Jail Museum located at 121 N. Indiana St., starting at 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tours will depart from the jail every 15 minutes. Cost of the tour is $5 per person and children under 12 are free. All proceeds help support the Old Jail Museum.
